Post by Maverick23 » Sun Dec 05, 2021 9:31 pm

I just bought a 1879 S Reverse of 1878 VAM 67 PCGS XF45, I know they are rare, does anyone know of any auction prices?
Thanks

Damn!, that's a hell of a coin. Was it sold as a VAM 67?

Just so everyone is clear on this - the piece in question is a VAM 67

It was not sold as a VAM 67. With the help of vamworld and some help from "Iceman". I was 99% sure it was a VAM 67. The 79 S Rev 79 VAM 44 and the 79 S Rev 78 VAM 67 share the same obverse. The raised bar between denticles below the "8" are the main pick ups.

I don't no of any reported sales although a couple have traded hands. I'd think pricing would be comparable to VAMs 56 and 77/77A

Wow... I have no previous sales information for VAM 67 in my database.
When in doubt... don't.
