1922 Vam 5A3 Value

Any auction sales, etc. on 1922 VAM 5A3? Does the rarity factor 7 still apply? The grade range that I am looking at is
ANACS AU 53 , NGC AU 55 , PCGS XF 45 ..

In general, the R-number should never be used to ascertain value. It is an estimate at the time a variety is first listed, and can sometimes be way off. The VAM 5A3 is a tough variety, though.

I rarely gather Peace dollar sales prices for inclusion in my VAM sales database; there are just too many Morgans for me to have time for anything else. As a result, I have entered just one 1922 VAM 5A3 price -- a PCGS-63 that went for $823 in a Heritage auction in December 2013.

quite a few have turned up lately. someone I know came up with 4 in uncirculated grades.

5A1 NGC MS 61 5A2 PCI MS 62 5A3 PCGS 63 .. The hardies to find is the 5A1

Value is what one is willing to pay . 100.00 to 825.00 .. big range for an MS coin .
