OT - ACCUGRADE Holder with a 1943S Walker
OT - ACCUGRADE Holder with a 1943S Walker
I was checking out a bullion shop in town and happened to see an old Accugrade hard plastic holder with photo. It has an MS64 walking Liberty half dollar in it - the coin is very nice. They want $65 for it, which about what I think the coin is worth. Is there much of a premium for the ACCUGRADE holder?? Thanks for any advice you folks might have.

In my opinion is is worth less by being in an Accugrade holder.
When in doubt... don't.

Someone once told me, "Buy the coin, not the holder"

Re: OT - ACCUGRADE Holder with a 1943S Walker
I've heard that one too for many years. And in that time I've never been able to shake the idea that just maybe it was phrase invented by some dealer to goad not-so-confident collectors into paying PCGS prices for doctored coins in 3rd world holders.
When in doubt... don't.
