Neat gouge through the M.

But the combination of zero previous sales in my database and the coin not being in the Top, Hot, Hit or Wow lists leads me to conclude there is minimal or no demand for it as a VAM and minimal or no value premium.
When in doubt... don't.

Dennis is right. While this Vam has no record of sales and this Vam is not on any lists, you would think what Dennis said is on the money, but this Vam is a sentimental favorite of a lot of Vammers and it's a bugger to find. Discovered by the late Nate Mailliard (Metalencephalon)and it's "Hard to Find" status makes it a very desireable Vam. I'd take it off your hands in a minute.

I helped Cascade Chris with these. V35 is eliminated and is now a V37A. These 35 thru 37 are some of the most confusing I know of. You could ask Chris because he is the discoverer. I am not sure where Nate is the discoverer.

I also have zero sales for VAM 37A in my database.

I think maybe you are confusing 1882-P Vam 35 with 1882-S Vam 35. 1882-P is alive & well and not deleted . Think you are thinking of the 1880-S Vam 35 (deleted) and Vam 37a. ;)

That was Nate’s first Discovery Coin.
I don’t think that there is much interest for this VAM. I think that most of us that would like to have one is because we liked Nate so much.
Probably no premium unless you find a friend of Nate’s that isn’t willing to wait to find one on their own.

With this VAM, being a bright white coin may help the value (still may not be any premium) because the gouge shows up way better.
Good luck

VAM 35 is on my annual 'dozen' list for 2018. It should command a modest premium
often the crusher of hopes and dreams
