1879 S r78 vam25

Post by Mr.allison » Fri Apr 03, 2020 11:34 pm

Anybody have an idea what my 1879 S vam 25 is worth in MS61 (NGC slab)?

Now may not be the best time to be asking, I reckon, but I may need to liquidate a few things.

VAM 25 is not one of the rarer varieties for the date, so I doubt there is much if any premium.

The majority of MS61 sales at Heritage since prices for that date soared a couple of years ago have been in PCGS holders. There have been 4 NGC sales, averaging just under $529.
When in doubt... don't.

I have 2 in PCGS MS 61. A V9 and a V46. Any current values?

Both of those VAMs are very common.
The last 8 PCGS MS61s have sold for a high of $564 and a low of $420 (that one had a big, horrible mark across the chin).
Average price of the other 7 was $512.
When in doubt... don't.
