1904 O MORGAN PCGS MS66 VAM-32 Doubled Top Reverse, Clashed Obverse G RARITY #5 (SOLD)
1904 O MORGAN PCGS MS66 VAM-32 Doubled Top Reverse, Clashed Obverse G RARITY #5 (SOLD)
I can provide more pictures if you want but all the diagnostics are there.
Just interested how much $ change there would be going from an already
nice highly graded Morgan to a Highly graded VAM-32.
Is there a price guide that one uses or is by historical data.
Appreciate your help

I have almost no sales history for this VAM (see below), which by default I always regard as meaning there is virtually no collecting interest and/or premium warranted.
1904-O 3 65 NGC Mar-11 CS $140
1904-O 3 64 PCGS Jul-16 E $61
1904-O 3 65 NGC Mar-11 CS $140
1904-O 3 64 PCGS Jul-16 E $61
When in doubt... don't.

Is the so called "Trigger" VAM still a popular item ? The VAM 32 is supposed to be the LDS of it which is the 28a
if I am reading the diagnostics correctly. They both say I-3 R-5
Sorry for the newbie questions

Thanks for your time.

1904 O is so common that Numismedia.com as well as other price list show lower
values than other common say 1880 s, 1881 s etc. Although a beauty in 66 its still only
say $200- $225 and vam has no premium as such. Sorry- but its a beauty- but but
so was Heidi Fleiss. LOL Welcome to our world

I follow the clashed Gs. So far I have not seen any premium on the VAM-32s. You would need to find someone like me that chases the clashed Gs to get any sort of premium.

My deepest apologies. When I read your initial post my brain saw VAM 3, not 32, so the two sales results I posted were for VAM 3.
Here is what I have for VAM 32. It's still not many, and my comments about rarity, demand, and value premium still applies:
1904-O 32 64 ANACS Feb-15 E $58
1904-O 32 63 ANACS Dec-18 E $76
1904-O 32 63 ANACS Mar-09 TT $69
1904-O 32 63 ANACS Dec-15 E $51
1904-O 32 63 ANACS Nov-15 E $38
1904-O 32 62 raw Jan-16 E $98
1904-O 32 62 ANACS Sep-09 E $45

What I am not seeing is such a high grade by PCGS of a VAM 32 -
Its on Ebay under my pseudo if you would like to venture to look at the other pictures.
I do appreciate all your help.
Though I now have 105 coins out of my Circulation Registry set to look through now ...

There are clashed g VAMs and there are CLASHED G VAMs.
I have seen a different PCGS VAM-32 in MS-66 before and passed on the purchase. If I don't care that much about going for a certain top pop clashed G, I don't know who would.
Most likely the reason there are not any other VAM-32 attributed in MS-66 is because the VAM-32 is just a clashed g and not many people care about it.
