PDF files from the old VW

Post by andywoj00 » Thu Oct 04, 2018 1:11 am

John et al,

Have the .pdf files from the old VW been uploaded yet to the new VW? I'm looking for this as I have it linked in one of my pages at SD. This is the url for the old location: http://www.vamworld.com/file/view/VAMvi ... iew_12.pdf

LMK and thanks,
Andrew

VAMView is a copyrighted publication, and I don't want to upload it to the public wiki without permission being obtained first. Currently, the SSDC has permission to put the VAMView archives on the registry server, as it is only available to SSDC members there.

So is this new policy as it was in the file repository at the old VW? If it's no longer linkable, I'll remove the great info regarding the 83O V36 die progression article. Sad......

It probably shouldn't have been in the old VW repository unless there was permission to use it. I'll ping DHalladay so that he might comment. If he gives permission on behalf of the VAMView folks to put it on VAMWorld, then I have no problem doing this, but re-publishing copyrighted publications in their entirety is not going to happen otherwise.

John,

Is this the same for the other PDF files (1902-O Crack Guides, 1879-S Rev of 78, ect)?

How about the article in the Vamview that started this thread? I don't have to link/display the entire issue, just the V36 progression article. LMK and thanks.

Dennis (@DHalladay) let me know that permission to post VAMView was given to the SSDC for SSDC members through the registry. He would have to consult with Logan and Tim before granting permission in a publicly accessible venue.

Until I hear otherwise from Dennis, Logan, and Tim, VAMView issues will not be posted on VAMWorld.

We still have several PDF guides that have not been loaded on the new site.
