O/T Further research material wanted for an article I lost

This should be easy for members that were among the VW 1 forum . Late one night I stumbled upon an article that I believe was on the WIKI pages . It very well could have been buried in one of the attribution guides . . Basically it was a picture of a coin and a story that if I remember correctly , may have been included in one of the very early versions of the catalog. Based on what I can remember it may have been submitted to LVA in a picture format only and was never actually send to him . I believe that because it was actually never verified , it may have been a primary reason that LVA then insisted on having coins verified in hand ,, I can't remember if the article nicknamed it a knifed eagle or speared eagle . and it may have been nothing more than a counterfeiter just making a huge gouge in the reverse and submitting a picture or just what ... I wanted to do a little more research into this but cannot find the article again . Does this very vague story ring any bells ???Maybe I found the story in the SSDC pages and just wanted to look in to the story a little bit more . but cannot find it again . Any help here would be greatly appreciated, Like I said it was late at night ... Thank you
