J'ai mal à la tête...
After giving it a non-darkside gipper go, I've failed to ID the variety on not the worst Peace dollar cracking potential year and mint combo, but I feel like it is...
ANY benevolent and gracious help from eyes and heads more resilient to this stuff would be greatly appreciated. Can get better quality coins by the weekend if required but here are FCPs and the cracking-that-has-my-head-scratching (and aching) on the obverse.
Thanks,

Re: 1923-D obv crack pattern question
Gary, I had a look thru the VAM pages and couldn't come up with a match. Might be that the die cracks are not substantial enough to list. Hope this helps

Re: 1923-D obv crack pattern question
Thanks, @jrfaust. I agree that crack lines don't equate to new listings but the recent changes a long time in the coming indicate we're heading toward die marriages versus generic descriptions with or without the use of differing die numbers (things like 36.1, 36.2, or die #1, die #2, etc.). A cracking pattern that is unique indicates either a new die used or a certain stage of a previously described die, but certainly doesn't mean something new.
I hope more experienced eyes can suggest were I might look to find the right designation either way so I can put this one away! Get back to the light... where I belong. (Sounds like some cheezy 1970 song, eh?)

@davidkclose, I know you're a rocking busy person but any way you could glance at this to relieve my (self-induced) stuckness? Or any other Peace gurus?
Re: 1923-D obv crack pattern question
Looks like there may be 'help fatigue' or a certain apathy to help based on competing priorities - which I completely understand!
In my quest to figure this out, I've noted that the closest matches are http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... -D_VAM-1G2 and http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... 3-D_VAM-1J, but both can be easily discounted due to differences in cracking patterns.
I can post more pictures but I believe the current ones show the major PUPs for the coin. Any additional input beyond jrfaust's kind reply would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1923-D obv crack pattern question
I have seen this before. Give me a few days to pull my 1923D set to compare. I have identified about 100 die marriages, & suspect that this is one of the unlisted ones.
