Is the 1878 VAM 168 worth to obtain?

Vam 168 is very scarce ,
But doesn’t command any extra premium
In circulated grades
And is easy to obtain up to au53
It becomes extra hard to find
in certified au55 or better ,
Good luck finding an ms vam 168

A lovely coin for sure. I was lucky to snag a ANACS53 coin in the past and even at this worn condition it shows all the wonderful features.

I'm still looking for a higher grade to see the features even more clearly!

And, yes, I did pay a bit extra for it because I've found it a more difficult coin to find. SSDC's population is not low (45ish) but the vast majority are AU50 and below.

SSDC registry shows AU-58 as top in pop, so any MS coin would be an incredible find…

Local show cherry pick at best a AU 55.
