1887-P VAM-19A/B

Post by fogie » Thu Aug 31, 2023 7:26 pm

Does anyone know what the difference is between the 1887-P VAM-19A & B? It looks like it may be the presence of the star die break but the theory is the die progression is 19, 19B and then 19A. I currently own the discovery piece of the 19B and its star is just as cracked as the 19A. I feel that 19A and 19B should be represented together as a single entity. Thoughts???

There are 8 die stages documented for that one, and they're grouped into the 3 official VAM stages here.
