Only the Philadelphia Mint had the equipment to make Master or Proof coins.

No. Nothing even resembling a proof has been among the branch mint products.

But the question is about the rumor... so, yes, there has been a trade dollar branch mint proof rumor? ;)

There are lots of rumors out there. Including some about JB, JR, DC, LVA, etc. but we shant mention any of the details of those...
