PCGS Yellow Inserts

Post by jlojek00 » Wed Aug 23, 2023 3:43 am

I have a PCGS Morgan dollar with a yellow insert. When did PCGS use yellow on their inserts and is it scarce or rare?

Could be an older green one that just faded to yellow. I've seen this before.

Juan,
John is correct, green label has faded to yellow. For some reason it happens on slabs. Good place for reference on PCGS slabs through the years is on their website. Below is the link. Jim

Specifically, PCGS mentions this problem with the Gen 3.0 labels.
