How TPG's fudge turnaround times

Post by Eschaton » Wed Aug 16, 2023 3:45 pm

Everyone's favorite TPG' received my package, but didn't log it in as received until 10 days later. Because they're busy, of course. But their websites where is my package tool shows that it was in fact received 10 days before they logged into their system as officially received. And that folks, is how they fudge turnaround times. 🙄👎

I sent in 4 orders that were all logged in as "Received" on July 28.
The World coin order status moved to "Grading" within a couple of days.
The Modern Value order moved to Grading a few days later.
But the crossover order didn't hit Grading until yesterday.
And the raw Trade dollars order status is still stuck at Received.

I think turnaround times have gotten long enough where people don't even pay attention to them anymore. "Someday" is now normal.

I’m that way the last few years. I get the “grades ready” notification and remember I sent something in.

My last membership 8 free "regular" grades at PCGS took 80 days. They were logged in a timely matter, just a couple of days before they were "received". Site says 40 days for regular. So much for their posted turn around times.

Raw Trade dollars order that was posted as "Received" on July 28 (just a straight raw grading order; no variety attributions) is still stuck at "Received".

Anacs pulling same kinda crap by receiving, then showing not opened
until 10 days +later. Yet another way to screw the poor submitter IMHO

Yeah, that's why I send in bulk. The average bulk order takes right around usually 4 maybe 5 weeks tops. ...Plus the 10 days it sits in receiving 😂😭

Best comment ever was the one above where Mediocrates said the coins sit so long that they forget they sent in the order until they get the grades 😂

I like fudge -- just not on my coins. ;)
