1921 [P] Morgan, extreme die scratching on reverse
Greetings,
I have not visited here in some time, but I have some recent finds to share.
I came across this 1921 [P] Morgan and it has severe die scratching on the reverse.
I looked for this in the VAM listings, but I did not find one that matches.
So I don't know if this is potentially a new VAM or I just overlooked one of the already-listed VAMs.

Very neat coin!
My best guess is 1B2 (but it doesn't quite seem to match.)
My next best guess is a previously unreported die state of something else.
@messydesk needs to put his eyes on this one.

When in doubt... don't.

Interesting heavy die abrasions. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a nice example of VAM 1AQ3 (previously also listed as VAM 1G)

Well done! with great photos too. Thanks

Thanks,
Yes the die file lines exactly match VAM-1AQ3.
The one odd thing, however, is that this coin does not have any of the scribbling on either side of the leg.

Nice! @dcarr Boy Its covered up in scratches! very cool!
Do the scribbles fade away after prolonged die use? Seems to me that it would take alot of use to erase them as they seem pretty deeply imbedded into the die face.
I would think the devices would have a look of a seriously deteriorated die or overpolishing at that point? I am learning so I am probably way off base!
Nice Morgan!
