listing changes

Post by tmanhg » Sun Jul 30, 2023 12:51 am

How hard would it be to get whomever makes changes on listings to identify themselves on the page they are changing?
AND WHY!!

You can look at the change history by clicking on "View History" in the upper right. If there is a page that you feel is being incorrectly modified, please bring it to my attention.

I see that the notification that it was eliminated was removed back in January. I'll put it back.

So how does this work ? I can see why the VAM was delisted as written and the only plate (I have seen anyway)was just of the MM. It seems if in fact the MM is only doubled due to machine doubling that part of the listing might not count But this LDS stage of the former VAM 25 seems kind of cool to my untrained eye. Can they be revised ???? Or just what happens next ??

Not sure what LDS you're referring to. Nothing is pictured there other than the mint mark from the VAM book. Any proposed new addition or revision to the VAM catalog must be submitted according to the guidelines in the Morgan Dollar Discovery Procedure in the announcements section of this forum.

Sorry I was referring to the simultaneously written thread about what is being called 1890s v25 by @tmanhg [http://www.vamworld.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7989

I have the coin that @uncle bingo & @tmanhg are talking about. See the Post "1890S with die break through the right reverse star" . @tmanhg thinks my coin is a VAM-25 because of the mint mark, My coin has some of the markings of a VAM-1i1 and a 10C but it does not match up with a lot of those either. I am sending it in to VSS as per the submittal instructions. So to clear up some confusion, that is what they are referring to.

Good timing sending to me now. As luck would have it, I just received a big box of 90-S Morgans for the purpose of making the listings more correct.

The coin in question, the 1890S with the die break through the Right Star reverse is in transit to VSS. Will have more on this later.
