It's interesting to see how many people are now willing to look at NGC vams. Years ago this was definitely not the case because NGC has a long sordid history with vams and spectacular misattributions.

I chose no preference.
My collection consists mostly of raw Morgans and Peace dollars that I found that I liked. It also consists of graded ones from Anacs, PCGS and NGC in early and late model holders. The fun for me is figuring out the vam before I purchase any of them. I just choose the coin.
Although I am new to Morgans and Peace Dollars, I have not found any that are incorrectly attributed to my novice eyes anyway.
I have only sent coins in to JB and JR for attribution/ grading Anacs.
So really my answer is all the above! If I like the coin it does not matter to me which TPG holder or if it's raw.
They must have taken my marbles away

I saw those days first hand and they burned a strong negative opinion about their VAM accuracy and credibility into my brain that I don't expect to ever lose. It is also why I never buy NGC-attributed VAMs unless I first confirm the attributions myself.

Everything I own is TPG-graded, except for a small stack that is waiting to go in to either PCGS or ANACS.

I'm part of the poll majority above. I have NGC coins in my 1921-P and 1921-D collections, but they tended to be the result of "let's buy this group of coins and see what they are" when I first started. That gave way today to only buying if I know what VAMs they are and if I need them.

Ditto for ANACS coins, except I massively trust their attributions, and I do send all of my circulated 1921-Ds to ANACS because it's important to me to have the VAM attribution on the holder.

I'm slowly sending my non-attributed Ps and Ds to VSS, but there are probably still 200+ left to go and I don't want to get on the @messydesk "Naughty List" by burying him with a huge pile all at once.
When in doubt... don't.

Good move.

No preference as I am buying a coin, not a holder. If that coin meets my expectations in grade, cost, and variety/stage, then it doesn't matter whose plastic it is in. It's no secret that PCGS is best for market liquidity for most coins. Certification is preferred in cases where authenticity is a big issue or question. For varieties, ANACS all the way due to their comprehensive coverage of varieties and accuracy in attributions. ICG is good for potty dollars, as they are the only ones who will do them, and they are pretty fast in turnaround.
