1889 VAM Help

Post by blaircountycoin » Fri Jul 14, 2023 9:01 pm

I have spent many hours trying to figure this one out, but now I am asking for help. The clues are as follows. Distinct doubled ear, clashed neck, several polish lines beneath left cotton boil, lines in wreath, clashed n of in, light clashing around lips and back of cap, and the most puzzling prominent line above STATES starting from the rim at wing tip and ending at rim above T. Any and all help is very much appreciated. This is a great site, and I enjoy reading and learning from all of you.

Any way you can fix the thumbnails to normal pictures? I just can't see that small of stuff :D there is a good chance it is one of these based on your description but I have no way of knowing http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... 889_P_CDLT

If possible, increase the pix size to 1000 and reload the photos. This would be a big help.

I am computer challenged. How do I change the pixel size?

The pharmacist in me says give your computer the blue pill... but the IT person in me claims ignorance. Meaning, apart from a joke, I can't help ya - but am interested in the answer, too.

"Open with" the original picture in Paint
At the upper left you should see "Image" options click on the
"Resize and skew" option
Choices are Percentage or Pixels, click on Pixels button
Set Horizontal to 1000 and click OK
Save image and it should be updated

The original image needs to have enough density for this to work well. If not go back to the method you took the picture with and adjust that.

Like Mike said, Paint will work and Windows, Photos is another option. Select the pix option in either software. It's all about the size.
