I stumbled across a VAM-1T graded MS63 by PCGS. The photos are from that coin.

The last set of pictures are from the Obverse of the VAM-1S and the MS63 VAM-1T of RTY of Liberty. It appears that the 1S is more than likely not a later die state of the 1T. Thoughts.

Found a second VAM-1S with a 1DJ reverse. The coin itself is in rough shape. Fine at best and likely harshly cleaned. The Obverse crack is hard to see but it is there.

Who’s on First, What’s on Second and I don’t know is on Third…….

I have found another VAM-1S with the 1DJ reverse. However, the file lines of this 1S/1DJ matches the obverse file lines of the 1S/1T on the VamWorld stock photo. So that would mean that both sets of 1S file lines show up on the 1DJ reverse. That would also support that there were at least two attempts at removing the die crack on the 1S. One of the more interesting things about this is that there is nothing else to note about the 1S obverse that can point to either the 1T or 1DJ as the origin obverse.

See photos.

Found another specimen. This is an early die state. The break can be seen from the neck to the left side of the nine. There is a very faint break line from the right side of the nine to the two. Then there is what I would call a very faint trace of what would be the break in or near the denticle below the one. The reverse of this specimen is also a VAM-1DJ.

I also have 2 VAM-1DJ coins. They both have a die polish / scratch line from the denticle through the E on the Obverse. There is no trace of this on any of the 1S/1DJ specimens.
