Re: 1904 Proof Dollars - Letter
From mint records, it appears that 340 Proof Standard silver dollars were minted between Jan and April of 1904. Another 310 Proof Standard silver dollars were minted in September and December of 1904. There were two die pairs used for the proof dollars. I have been looking for evidence of which die pair may have been used in December. This would be the last Morgan minted in 1904 until it resumed in 1921.
While this info is very interesting, it does not settle which die pair was used in 1904 at Philly for the proofs.
