1880-S 4th Right Star Question
I have been working on this 1880-S raw coin today and believe it to be VAM-33. (Conformation Appreciated) I noticed the 4th Rt. star has a die gouge, flake, or just PMD in the center. I don't find any pics or reference listed. If it is in the die and my attribution is correct , would it be worth adding my pic to VAM-33 and 70 as the have the same Obverse.

Re: 1880-S 4th Right Star Question
Yes as to the VAM 33. IMO, there's nothing of note about the star. If anything, I would call it staining.
Re: 1880-S 4th Right Star Question
Thanks for the conformation MarkyB. I think I have answered my own question on the 4th star. The first pic does look like a stain, but from a different angle it is PMD. I will try to be more thorough in the future.
