Can anyone help me? I have 1923S with a strike thru on the obv that goes from the tail of the "Y" through the "S" of trust; a small die break under the "dollar" on the rev. as well as what may be strike thru on the bottom of the "A" in America. I haven't been able to identify relevant VAMs. I did see the ob. of VAM 1I that had a similar break below the dollar. It had other characteristics that mine doesn't have. It had widely spaced spikes above the eagle shoulder while on mine, those spikes are completely missing. I'm pretty new to this so any help would be appreciated.

Re: 1923S die break and strike thru
The raised squiggly area under DOLLAR is a clash mark, and a strong one. Clash marks are common on 1923S, and I have identified about 200 die marriages, of which about 140 are listed.
I have a few more on which I am working, which will be added as I am able to thoroughly vet & catalogue them.
Keep on looking, there are still good coins out there! Enjoy the hunt!
