I know the 85-O is riddled with sawdust issues so this might fall into that category. I can't poke any of the coin with a stick as it's in a PCGS holder, but if I could this might be easier to figure out.
First, I got this b/c I thought it might be a VAM-28 with the MPD... don't think it is b/c of the date placement and what I thought I saw as the MPD 1 digit might be an evil mimic (sawdust...).
Looking at the other PUPs, however, now has me confused. The ear is relatively clear, the hair D has at least 4 pronounced die scratches innit (as they say in the U.K.), the bow has defined scratches that don't quite align with the other pictures, and there is what appears to be a nicely upward shifted second mm that parallel many of the 83 and 84 O/O varieties - albeit rare for the 85 coins (and the VAM-12 being the only confirmed one).
Thoughts from anyone more familiar with the series?
First, FCPs:
Next, the potential O/O as this is the main question:
And the date:
Next will come additional PUP pics...

Re: 1885-O O/O (non-12 and non-sawdust?)
I don't recognize either the obverse or the reverse at all.
Re: 1885-O O/O (non-12 and non-sawdust?)
Thanks, @weth. I believe someone did a farily detailed study of these in the past but can't recall who. Hoping someone remembers and helps, or at least has additional thoughts.
Unsure what happened to the date picture - shows normal on my computer but magically flips after it uploads. Tried it again just now with the same outcome. Thanks, IT dieties, for keeping life fun!

Re: 1885-O O/O (non-12 and non-sawdust?)
I believe that Mr. weth mentioned doing one for the 1885-O in early 2019. But I don't believe anybody has done a die study for the 1885-O O/O yet, but I could be wrong.

I plan to collect VAMs and maybe discover new ones, but until then I'm just here.
Don't forget this is a live and learn hobby have fun with it.

Re: 1885-O O/O (non-12 and non-sawdust?)
The late Metalencephalon / Nate started an 85-O die study, and then I picked it up just to finish what he had started. So when I say that I don't recognize it, I mean that I can't match either the obverse or the reverse to any of those currently listed.
I would suggest sending it to JB/VSS or JR/ANACS for further examination.
