1923 D VAM 1BF was initially listed by LVA as Die Break Above N with squiggly die crack thru diagonal of N of IN up to rim where it widens into a break on late die states. Ironically, another squiggly die crack developed from rim near left side of Y in LIBERTY over to rim away from right side of Y with displaced field break. This displaced field break Y is the 2020 revision specimen.
The adjective "SQUIGGLY" in this VAM reference points toward erratic zigzag shaped die cracks.
