Looks nothing like the coin in the NGC serial number lookup.

SF Mint never produced that reverse in 78.

@chgolaw1 I agree! The world is crazy! I retired from it a few years ago, I miss the guys but I don't miss the nonsense! Glad I'm done with it, went out with 27 years. I hope your time to retirement is short!

I did report it to NGC immediately as I said. I also sent them the seller's pics and will put them here for future reference.

Ended! For a little extra humor, check out the reverse of the coin on the NGC web site; mint mark is a little east of SAN FRANCISCO🤭

Does't look like retirement is coming too soon! Left Chicago with 30+ and then went to a suburban Dept going on my 8th year there. I will be 70 in november. I guess I am a gluten for punishment! I still think all Policeman have PTSD. I coined the phrase that all we are is HUMAN GARBAGEMAN!

Its the only profession that you have to be a psychiatrist, a priest, doctor, boogeyman etc and then get thrown to the wolves for what actions you take. Pretty soon we will have need to carry malpractice insurance!
