Thought I'd seen something that my 'experience' said "Nah... nothing of note..." Only to have it come back to teach me a lesson.
Thought I'd share it with you.
Would you understandably think this in the nostril as not much to note and misread the bit just below the nose and on her upper lip as potential PMD?
The latter especially as the near perfect shape of a horseshoe seemed, at first glance, to look like a solid albeit pinpoint-like strike...
But then I saw the contour of the nose to lip was uninterrupted (i.e., no metal taken from above and smashed along the coin forming the 'ridge').
Got me to look a bit more at the rest of the coin... an 1887-S that has since shown itself to be a http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... 7-S_VAM-19.
I'll post additional PUP pictues on the webpage to help others because I've seen some great die scratch lines in LIBERTY, the ear, hair and around the cotton bolls that might help - as the doubled 188 can be easily missed.
Oh buggers... or you little buggers?
