This was so ugly , i picked this up because of the rim cud . 1923-S error :popcorn: .

Hope the cud is genuine Tom. What does the reeding adjacent to the cud look like?

Perhaps a typo... melt bucket? But beer sounds good

Folks who brew beer at home know a malt bucket is used to store malt:

Yeah, that looks like a hit to the edge, which pushed up metal. Needs another look in hand.

For me it works fine.

For you.. FFAR or 28A1 would be best, I believe.
