Just got this off eBay. It struck me as odd as it's a one sided PL which is unusual for the date. I could clearly see it had the VAM 19 reverse in the listing but I couldn't tell which obverse was present. With the coin in hand it turns out this is a nice example of the VAM 19.1 remarriage - the stage that occurs just before the VAM 19B. I have another example with the same grade on the slab, but this is nicer. Cameo PL obverse that nearly measures DMPL

After pulling out some of the related pieces in my collection, I've noted my other VAM 19.1 remarriage example has proof like surfaces on the obverse under the chatter from its long stay in vault in a bag. I also have two example of VAM 19B in different stages on the reverse. We'll leave the GSA soft pack I have out of this discussion because there's enough circulation on that piece to obscure minor progression details. It seems the remarriage started of with a cameo PL obverse which would have faded quickly, typical for mid die state PL dies. Neither VAM 19B appears to have any trace of mirror present, but some of the polishing lines from the 19.1 stage are still visible. It suggests the VAM 19.1 remarriage was around long enough to lose the PL surface but probably not much more than that. I suspect that's only a few hundred coins struck. I know this is speculation, but it's based in a lot of observation.
