a big GSA "OUCH!"

Post by DHalladay » Thu Apr 27, 2023 8:41 pm

I've heard of GSA Morgans having fatal grading issues in the holder, but this coin on eBay is one of the few I've ever seen. And no, the seller did not say anything about those awful reverse scratches.

$1100...I'd return it for that kind of "scratch"...

Crazy that it made an 'uncirculated' holder rather than the 'silver dollar' version. Guess they invented not turning coins over to grade them

It may have been on the day that they only had to be untoned.

Maybe someone used a box cutter to open the canvas bag. I’ll bet the original owner in the 1970s was upset! Of course much much cheaper then…

caveat emptor. at least the seller provided 5 star images.

brutal to see on that coin. at least it wasn't a massacred 64/65.

i also think i'd like to have the gsa holder in a detailed authenticated tpg sticker/holder. there some crafty people out there.

Make me cringe just looking at the picture. Oh the horrors indeed.
Have a great day!

I can't help but wonder if it's been tampered withsomehow either...

Crafty people and good counterfeiters in the world. Real (damaged) coin fake or tampered with holder?
