I hope it would straight grade but it might go details. Even with a lower grade than wanted, I can say this is a rare, rare find.
Even comes with a bit of leftover fragrance!
Should I send this to JB or JR?

Looks like it was dipped once or twice, so I suggest a few seconds in acetone just to be safe.

I plan to collect VAMs and maybe discover new ones, but until then I'm just here.
Don't forget this is a live and learn hobby have fun with it.

Hate to tell you this, but its mate has been the subject of numerous blackmail auctions as the closing act at VAM Thing. Ash was the latest victim.

Thanks for being dressed when you shot the pics. I have seen a couple eBay lots of shiny things where the seller was not so careful about in that regard.

Would NOT send it to JR. He would stomp all over this DMPL coin. He is the CRUSHER of Hopes and Dreams. JR would come up with some lame excuse not to put this Presentation piece in a holder. Probably the only business strike P mint that survived. Has to be the first strike and given to some high ranking person or to a king or queen. Like the 1804 silver dollar. My thoughts.

Several of you have actually seen me with one of these in hand. "Presentation Piece" is a very generous term

What's the estimated population of these non-presentation piece coins? Surely lower than the four known dies of the boring 'regular' proof coins?

If you'd ever smelled it, you'd know it was the gagging goose variety.

Agreed. Clearly dipped in egg salad then nickel plated. The very rare "Poof Proof" variety, too!
