1888 VAM 7D question

When I got my 1st 7D, there was a spot at the eagle's right shoulder that looked like a minor struck-thru error. Nothing really to get excited about. Didn't give it another thought. I did get excited about the whole VAM 7 family and started snapping them up whenever I could.

I started going through them a while back, trying to make sense of it all. I now have two 7D and they both have that same spot at the right shoulder.

I can't tell if the LFCP for 7D has the spot. And I know that 2 coins is not a very big pool to choose from so I thought I'd ask...

Is this common?

I think I've decided the answer is Yes.

There's another on ebay now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/354843464885

Also looks like it was happening at the same time on her nose as well.

They do go away by the time the field scratch by the left talon appears.

I know they aren't anything significant. Just interesting.
