Hi All
I have a question this is a 1878 14.2 MS63PL , but is it a 14.2EDS or 14.2A .
Im just a little confused if the 14.2a has the field Die Cracks or not on the Obverse .
Please advise on this .

Hi All
Twohawks
Explained the differences to me of the 14.2 and 14.2A ,
"VAM 14.2 die pair with no gouges or displaced field breaks is a VAM 14.2

VAM 14.2a is the same die pair as above but with feeder finger gouges though the "OF" on the reverse die. Early die states of this type are known and come with proof like fields.

So with this I say its a 14.2A in PL . Many Thanks to TwoHawks for spending the time to answer my questions and explain . I kind of got lost on the 14.2,A,B listings . But TwoHawks
spent the time to explain !!!!
Thanks
JOHN ( Iceman )
