1889 O VAM 1A

Looks like the die clash for VAM 1A but it is badly worn so tough to see. Need confirmation if possible

Not likely to my eyes but happy to hear the thoughts of others. For one thing, no corresponding clash lines indicating an E transfer but they could be hidden by wear. If so, you'd still need to see letter transfer for it to be a 1A(1 or 2).

I think my 20A shows a bit better and for a comparison of how nice a coin that is often needed to see letter transfer:

I'm a no as well. Even on well worn coins you can pick use PUPs to assist in analysis. In this case I don't see them. Attached is a 1a1 that is very abused, and my file pictures are not great, but the pick up points (obverse crack B-U, reverse profile) are reasonably visible.

Fab additions! Definitely need those clash lines (and crack(s)) to help.

I'd say 'X marks the spot' but I don't know what treasure is supposed to be found in front of the eagle's beak? ;-)
