Need some help with an 86 P

Post by DurhamJnKY » Sat Mar 25, 2023 5:18 pm

Thought it would be pretty easy to figure out which VAM this one is with the obvious PUP's it has. Long polish lines in the hair and longer and fatter ones in the tailfeathers. But after a couple trips through the list I'm drawing a blank.

So, I'm turning it over to the pros who've seen a whole lot more of these than I.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Jonnie

The top of the 6 might be doubled. And maybe the inside of the ear.

Thought I'd give this a bump to see if anything shakes loose.

Im not really in a position to make a claim looking at a cell phone screen .How does the big gouge in the scribble area compare to VAM 1H LFCP. What about the eagles right wing ?

Im not sure . It seems to me you could at least match the reverse based on that gouge or scratch 'its pretty thick

Thanks for looking, Uncle Bingo.

This one has a mark in the area of the scratch shown on the 1H but it doesn't look to be in the same place, orientation, and it's too short. I wrote it off as PMD.

The scribble and tailfeather area on the LFCP for the 1H looks rather clean.

I also thought the reverse would be easy to match, but, here we are. The only thing I've been able to match is a scratch in the R in Liberty shown in the Additional Photos on VAM 1K.

I'll probably keep looking at it for a little while but it's most likely headed for the pile that'll send it from a cluttered desk to a messy one.

Again, Thanks,

Jonnie

Stuff near the eagle's legs - not seen by me before, but take that for what it's worth (admittedly: not much).

Not seeing much else that would make this anything but a VAM-1 or a VAM-6 (remembering that the 6 does tend to sit a bit high 'naturally' - i.e., on a VAM-1).

Sorry can't be more help!
