Any luck at Heritage last night?

Post by DHalladay » Tue Mar 07, 2023 7:15 pm

A lot of VAMs sold last night, including several bargains IMO. I got the 1878 7TF VAM 166 PCGS VF35 CAC – a variety I feel is perpetually underappreciated for how tough it is. It made John Roberts' "A Dozen VAMs for 2023" list and while his comment about it was "no longer impossible to acquire", good freaking luck trying to find one. I'm still 0-for-forever.
When in doubt... don't.

Not me ,, but I may explode before I get home today. I snuck away to the coin store today, had about 10 minutes , bought a 7/8 weak 1878 ms 61 in ngc plastic ... All I could tell is it's clashed pretty good,,,, lips for sure , letter transfer is pretty in your face at least the "IN"..... no loupe , no scope , just anticipation
You guys are rubbing off on me ... All I can hope for is to get a great big "you suck" out of the deal , and I'm trying not to jinx the whole thing , but I still may explode

Missed out on a couple due to the timing. 88 VAM 15 brought strong money. An 81-O VAM 16 in 62DMPL went cheap. It's underappreciated.

Lost the 78-P V5 - was it one of you?!

Have an 81-O V16 in the same condition so was interested in the price... it did go cheap but I hope this means it is worth more!?
