A luckY find? 1886-O VAM-19A

Post by keilg1 » Thu Mar 02, 2023 5:52 pm

I believe this is accurate: only the http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... -O_VAM-19A and the http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... -O_VAM-30A are 'TY' clashes. Massive rotation between the obv and rev dies that then kissed each other hard enough to transfer at least one (or part) of the TY from LIBERTY to the famous 'E' clash tailfeather area...

I've been fortunate to find a number of 87-O 30A coins in the past, but the 86-O 19A remained elusive.

Until now.

If you've not seen some of the PUPs before, here are a few for your edification and enjoyment? And, yes, I am still trying to get the light just right to see the Y clash... I have some pictures, but I don't have it 'quite right' to show as clearly as I'd like.

First the 'boring' FCPs and the obverse PUPs...

Very nice! @keilg1 Clashers are awesome, rotated clashers are even better! Lucky find for sure!
They must have taken my marbles away

Nice, I have never run across one of those. They seem to be a lot scarier than the 87-O VAM 30A.

@keilg1

What are you doing across the pond? sipping gin and moving stuff into the 'E" zone ???? :lol:
That looks really hard to capture on film , but very cool, all the same !!!!
