Well, I was going to go more OT than most - Happy Birthday Linus Pauling.

I celebrated his birthday with him back in 1993 in Corvallis, Oregon, when he and his foundation were considering moving from California back to his educatial roots (OSU was called the Oregon Agricultural College when he attended). Excitedly, they decided to move the institute...

Died shortly thereafter in 1994...

We could have one less hot day in July and August if they added them to February. Maybe someone can suggest that to the current administration (but they'd figure out a way to screw that up too!)
