Is the 1884 imaged below a very far date?

My rule of thumb:
<2 denticles=very near date
2 denticles=near date
2.5 denticles=normal
3 denticles=far date
>3 denticles=very far date

I would consider yours a far date. There is a guide under attribution 101 and a range for each term.

Far date, but not very far. The left edge of the 1 has to be clearly past the left edge of the 4th denticle.

Take a look at this section of the Attribution 101 page that discusses date position.

VAM 27 seems the closest fit...but, with the description & 4 images it seems unlikely that it is identical to the coin in hand as only the slanted nature of the date and date location (far right limit of far date) match. Are there other images or descriptions available for VAM 27? These might help confirm a match.
