Several local show picks...
There are still some nice ones out there. Local show had only about 1/2 the usual dealers. Was able to find an AU 1878 P VAM 14.1 A, with very nice letter transfer. Also grabbed a darkside coin, an AU 1923 that said VAM 1B on the holder, but upon further examination is actually VAM 1V with 2 breaks in the hair. Lastly, I looked at an XF coin from my favorite date (1891 o) and flipped it over to find VAM 1A3 staring at me. Needless to say, it came home with me too. Looking forward to the KC area show in late March, Think I saw where a VAMmer or two were going to be set up at it.

Yeah, the original attributions for the Peace Top 50 labeled a lot of VAM-1V as VAM-1B. I forget, but the VAM-1V might not have been yet discovered and listed. Actually, I am pretty sure the VAM-1V was listed a year or so after the Top 50 was published and attributions made by the TPGs.
