I personally love this coin for all the right reasons. Fist year of issue, related to the VAM-15, scratches galore, doubled lettering and tons of other fun PUPs, etc.

If you've not found one of these, I encourage you to keep looking. She's a purty gal...

Cool variety! Those lines all over the field on 1878s aren't technically scribbles. I would call them "grit gouges", as they're likely from stray, oversized pieces of grit that got caught up in die polishing and did a number on the die. Scribbles are presumed to be intentional, targeting weakly hubbed parts of the die.
