While searching for my vam 76, I found this vam 28, I think in my favorite old thick gold embossed slab.
The die chip on the eagle's breast feathers is hard to see, but I think the rest of the die markers are there.

Nice looking.
Looks like your has some machine doubing on the letters. I have three different coins and each show different degrees on the E (the one with the blob): one slightly less than yours, one barely noticeable and one completely blobbed without any doubling.
My VAM-16 doesn't show any letter doubling but the blob is just as purty...
