The 1889-P VAM-23 page has been updated to include the flowchart shown below. We may be looking at one or two additional Die Sequences being added, so this flowchart could be updated in the future. If anyone would like their own copy or a link to High Resolution photos, just PM me or send an email. I have a secure server that is independent of VAMWorld and it is where my Die Study material is housed.

Section A, 1889-P VAM-23 Series Flowchart.
Showen below is the 1889-P VAM-23 Series flowchart. Included in the flowchart is the Die Sequences for VAM-23B and where the Reverse Die is paired with a new Obverse in the VAM-7 Series.

Several VAMWorld members have requested I develop an Attribution Guide for the Die Sequences for the 1889-P VAM-23B.
The format I have selected for the attribution guide will show each die sequence side by side and contain descriptions for each die sequence. Once completed, the attribution guide should really help folks determine what die sequence they have.

Keep up the hunt. Die Sequences #4 and #5 are not rare. There are plenty of them out there.

What but another super mess as more study results in all these variations, some of which are quite common
and IMHO screwthe whole value thing to hell. Sure would hate to be a high dollar buyer, only to find out you
bought common series for huge bucks. THIS IS ALL THE S S S S S S S Not for this old timer
Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
