I'm not sure how many members knew him, but I was informed that long-time member Dave700x passed away last September 22. He was last active here shortly before his death and was a member on the original VAMWorld site. The news was first posted on a CCF thread last week.

I am sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was always generous with his time and expertise.

So sad to read of Dave700x's passing.
He was one of the first to reply to one of my first posts both on VAMworld1.0 and on CCF.
A single word I might use to describe him would be
"Inspirational"

Wow, that's sad to hear. He was a very astute VAMmer, and I had some good

Dave was a kind soul. I first met him in person at a show after I had just purchased an 83-O DMPL and he happened to walk up during the purchase and noticed the date and then introduced himself and asked if I was who he thought.

Well, that's... depressing. Dave was indeed always friendly and supportive. I feel like I met him at a show once and what he was here is what he was in real life. RIP Dave!
