I have been looking for one of these for a while and finally found one.
I have seen one where the gouge goes thru the hair and continues for a short while onto the field.

That's cool. That gouge is present on the original VAM 17A(17B now) discovery piece. Did you find the stage just before all the denticle clashing occurs?

No clashing on this V-17. I consider it a V-17 DS3.
