I place this coin ( Vam 2U2) along with the Morgan Spaghetti Vam (1878 S Vam 18) as both 5 star key coins to a collection. It is a joke to me that neither of these appear on a “ List”. I think it is time to blow up some of the List entries and replace them with much more interesting and difficult examples to find for collectors. I rarely post these days for several reasons. Hopefully, this will generate an interesting discussion.
I have my doubts.

You mean like something between 10 and 15 VAMs that are cool and/or scarce that would be fun to spend the next year looking for? Sort of like a year-long scavenger hunt? Yeah, someone should do that. We could even use the Wiki to archive those lists so that people could grab one and "play" whenever they wanted.

Great coin. I have two of them is the same stage. I refer to them as retained cuds(rim still shows). I have seen 1 in full cud mode.
