1885-P Beautiful Mystery

I've got this 1885 with a beautifully toned obverse and I'm completely stumped on the VAM. The die cracks on the reverse don't match up with anything I can find. I've attached the hi-res image here in hopes that someone can make heads or tails of it, pun intended. :D
