Im not scared lol
Im still real green with the sport though but, Im learning fast what to look for. Im going to post my best pick yet and I will admit was pretty much luck since I was still new to vams but as I started digging and saw the signs of the EDS, I was pretty excited. I know I wont get rich from vams but finding a rare vam is exciting and there is always the chance to find new ones.

Recent addition to my Morgans, not exactly a pick, it was listed by the VAM (possibly by a regular from VAMWorld) but I liked it for the wear pattern. Seems to suggest possibly a tilted field not in the 1889o VAM 13a listing.

Would you mind explaining to the freshman member of the class why I can't find that on the die crack break guide ? I was mistaken on an earlier post thinking the V 1B1 was just before the reverse die exploded at the Denver mint cause your specimen looks like it was ran over by a train

I'm just a fan of the really messed up ones .

It’s not a die break. It’s a mint error — either a lamination, impure metal mixture, or something akin to a planchet crack. If it crossed my desk, I’d call it a mint error, defective planchet.

Thank you for the reply , i thought the area right above the M in the denticle had metal from a break , it must just be gunk

Picking has been really tough for awhile but i am still pickin and grinnin.found an au55 1889o v1a1, 1921s I clash(2ce? I forgot. Thornhead eds. Unc.). Found a 1945p 5c fs-801 ddr 1 in a bu warnickel set yesterday. And a 1942p fs-501 anacs 64 attributed as an rpm 8 too. Tough coin. Maybe I’ll look at my picks later and list a few highlights.
