one of a kind GSA?

Post by DHalladay » Wed Oct 19, 2022 5:35 pm

I think so.

The single 1889 and 1893 Carson City Morgans that made it into hard pack GSA holders are and always will be more famous, more desirable, and more valuable. But this 1902 Micro-O in a GSA soft pack may also be just one of a kind.

A dealer friend showed @fogie and me this incredible unicorn at the just-held Denver Coin Expo. It was an amazing thing to be able to examine.

When in doubt... don't.

I remember the day I got to hold the one 1893-S GSA soft pack.
Those unicorns are a treat to see.

Personally, I never understood GSA hardpacks etc, let lone spend one dime on one
Just lack of interest/ignorance or both LOL
Cool though as yet another facet of Morgan collecting, of which varied minds
can choose to own.

I did not know the US governent ever put a counterfit in a GSA (albeit a soft pack) holder until I saw this! Very cool. There was a 93-S at the same show (Denver) in the soft pack. It was at a different table but....
