1895 O
Does the Vam 3A have a mint mark tilted right?
Re: 1895 O
The 3A is not listed for the mm tilted to the right.
Also the mm on the 3A page doesn’t look tilted to the right.
The mm isn’t listed for being high, but it does look high to me. But not by much.

I didn't think it was but I got this 1895 O and I thought it was a 3A but it's tilted right. Is it a different Vam? Is it not tilted?

Re: 1895 O
I believe that your photos show that you do have a 3A reverse.
I also believe that you can't trust your mm due to PMD (post mint damage).
The thing that I wonder about is your obverse date location. It does not look far enough to the right to match VAM-3A. Then again, that may be due to the condition of your coin.
Some one that wants a Discovery Coin, may need to keep their eye on a higher grade 95-O that has a normal date with the 3A reverse.
Also, after looking at a higher grade 3A, I stand corrected, I guess it is a normal mm.
Maybe JB and JR can give their opinion about your date placement.
My guess is that your coin wear doesn't give a clear viewing of a far date location.

I see what you mean. I didn't even look at the date. The mm is tough due to it being a lower grade coin but I just wasn't sure. Attached is better picture of the date

Re: 1895 O
You probably have VAM 3A. The mint mark is not as tilted as it looks in your picture, since the picture itself is tilted. Date position looks like a match. Wear sometimes makes this difficult to discern.
