This PL morgan is driving me crazy but I think Im getting close. Can anyone confirm this hair loss.

Hair loss is big time

I forgot to mention I see the ejection damage at the jaw/neck juncture and the small cluster of gouges above the eyelid tip. The die dhips, dragon scales and fine polish line are nearly impossible to see or photo on a PL surface.

No it is not a 113.
Wrong obverse and wrong reverse.
I’m sure one of the 78-S experts can help you pin down this VAM.

Yes, that is great advice, while going thru some of the 36 die pairings I see a mix, some here, some there, and then I found die progression lol darn hole gets bigger and bigger lol I love this variety, this might be a close second to 82 O/S in my fav book but who knows, tomorrow in vamworld is a new day.

I want to say thanks for all the advice and help from the community and most importantly, for not being to hard on me, I'm fast tracking and new to vams and trying to digest it all. Just fascinating and has me hooked lol, I realize there are no video of the process from 100+ years ago but I would like to study up on the die and hub process. Can anyone suggest the best place to read up more. I plan on joining SSDC and Im sure it will be loaded with info.

Yes, the guidance on vamworld is the best. This variety has so many rabbit holes, I keep getting lost. Im adding some other items especially in the mouth of the eagle, I didn't see that before and some leaf doubling. I hope this helps, Im digging back in tonight to try my luck again starting at the v75, thanks

I had to look at the v75 and you are 100% correct, (your very good thanks) I totally missed the comma die chip. that die chip is giant, how could I miss that. I did realize the R and star were significant but I was struggling with die marriage chart and the descriptions. There so many vams, breaking off into different die sets and progression of some can get a bit confusing to use newly minted vammers. Im going to stay on 78 S for a while and try to learn more about the variations.
